Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and efficient Store Cleaner to ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of our new store. The Store Cleaner will play a crucial role in maintaining a welcoming and safe environment for everyone.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize all areas of the store, including restrooms, offices, break rooms, and public areas.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors regularly.
- Dust and wipe down surfaces to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
- Refill paper products, soap dispensers, and other supplies as needed.
- Assist with occasional cleaning tasks in other departments or areas of the store as requested.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and protocols.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a cleaner or janitor, preferably in a retail or commercial environment.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and techniques.
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery safely and effectively.
- Physical stamina and mobility to perform cleaning tasks that involve standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and report any maintenance or cleaning issues promptly.
Additional Information:
This position is on a fixed-term contract basis, providing an opportunity to contribute to the success of our new store in Howick. The Store Cleaner will work closely with our store management team to uphold our commitment to cleanliness and customer satisfaction.
